NAME

pd or zd - place date in corner

SYNOPSIS

pd
zd

DESCRIPTION

With pd and zd, you can put the current time and date in the corner of the page on a pen plotter or graphics device, respectively. This can be useful when plotting experimental data over many days. The current date and time will be drawn in the format
Apr  5 13:15 EDT 1993
The location is fixed, though you can vary the size and style of the lettering with the character size, cs, command. The location is chosen so that if the plot is put into a standard notebook, the date will appear right-side up in the upper-right corner of the page, whether the plot is drawn in portrait or landscape mode.

For general information on graphics filters, see the filters help file.
