6.6.1. - Plot title and labels![]() If you don't enter a unit string and if there is no scaling factor for the axis, there won't be any brackets. Certain plot-formatting options selected with the ty command affect how the scale factor
is drawn:
ty 64
selects parentheses around the scale factor.
ty 1024
selects
APS
style.

When you enter tx, the current text will be shown in parentheses.
Entering nothing and pressing
<return> will leave the
current text unchanged.
Typing
\<return> will clear the current
text.
The maximum number of characters in a title or label line is 256. Each character of a special sequence is counted, but spaces and tabs at the beginning of an entry will be disregarded unless the line begins with a \. The text strings cannot be edited. They must be re-entered entirely. If you are using complicated subscripts, superscripts or other special sequences, you might find it more convenient to read the text in from a command file (see Chapter 10) created and edited with your favorite text editor. |
