NAME zw - do not close filter yet
SYNOPSIS zw
DESCRIPTION Complex plots that incorporate multiple
data sets, windows, annotations, etc. should be created by
entering zw before the drawing commands. This keeps
the graphics device open while you build the plot. Although
window graphics displays such as those on workstations allow you
to add elements to the display of the plot without using
zw, the command is essential if the plot is being
sent to a printer. When all elements of the plot have been
drawn, a close-filter command, zx or
zs, is used to complete the plot.
When zw is used in conjunction with printing
devices, the plot will not be sent to the printer until a close-
filter command is issued. Likewise, display terminals that have
distinct graphics and text modes will remain in graphics mode.
When a filter is kept open using zw, it will
stay open until a zx or zs command is
entered, another filter is initialized with the zi
command or you exit C-PLOT
For general information on graphics filters, see the
filters help file.
